Measuring Guide for Furniture

Before ordering new furniture, it is critical you ensure it is in proportion to the rest of the room and it not only looks right but also you can ‘move around’ and use your space as intended.

Will it get into my room?

Please be advised we sell furniture that is designed to get into ‘most’ rooms and, in most cases, our larger furniture can be taken apart so access normally isn’t an issue.

If you currently have furniture in the room, a great place to start is comparing this with the model you want to replace it with. If your existing furniture was a similar size and there weren’t any problems with access… the chances are that all will be well.

We recommend that you map out the space using newspaper or mark it out using string or a low tack tape. This will give you a feel for whether the furniture is proportionally correct in the room and ensure you are able to use the space i.e. open doors, move around the room, see the TV…

In most cases we can either give you ‘peace of mind’ it will get into your room of choice or offer expert help to find a solution. If needed, our expert installation team will visit your property (with the showroom model if needed) and make a decision.

Sofas: All of our corner groups and chaise sofas are split into more than one piece.

Generally, grand / 4seater sofas have either bolt-on arms or are split into two pieces and are fixed once your sofa is in place

Beds: Please remember to add approximately 60cm for opening drawers on one side.

Within 5 days of placing an order we are able to amend an order. So, if you are concerned at all about whether your chosen furniture will fit… please contact us asap.

Dining Sets: What’s your footprint!

Please remember to add approximately 60cm for moving the chair back from the dining table.

When the furniture comes into our warehouse you will be contacted by our logistics department to arrange a suitable date for delivery, we will wherever possible try to arrange a delivery for am or pm.

Sofas - What is covered?

Free 10 year structural guarantee on all sofas, chairs, corner units and footstools as standard.*
Manufacturing defects on the construction of the frame, springs and webbing.
In addition we provide a 5 year guarantee on recliner mechanisms.
Cover for 2 years against any defects which may arise through normal use, poor craftsmanship and faulty materials such as leather, fabrics and cushion interiors.

Sofas - What is not covered?

General wear and tear, staining, soiling, abraision, tears and burns, natural cushion interior settlement and flattening.
Improper care, accidental or deliberate damage.
Fabric or leather failure as a result of contact with bodily fluids, chemicals, hair and body products such as tanning lotions or other cosmetics, including damage or delamination ofthe product finish.
Dye transfer from fabrics, throws, cushions, clothing and other products.

Beds - What is not covered?

A mattress that has been used with an unsuitable base – Mattresses purchased on their own must be supported on a bed/frame that is of appropriate quality and construction.
General wear and tear, staining, soiling, abrasion, tears and burns, natural filling settlement.
Improper care, accidental or deliberate damage.
Dye transfer from fabrics, throws, cushions, clothing and other products.
Your failure to follow instructions contained in our care guide or any written instructions given with the product on delivery as this may invalidate your guarantee.

Cabinets - What is not covered?

General wear and tear, staining, abrasions, burns.
Improper care, accidental or deliberate damage.
Your failure to follow instructions contained in our care guide or any written instructions given with the product on delivery.

All other furniture

We go to great lengths to ensure everything we sell is of the highest quality and the rest of our products including all garden furniture and accessories are guaranteed for 2 years from the date of delivery. Obviously fair wear and tear is excluded but should there be any manufacturing defects in the 2 year period we guarantee we will repair the product or if we are unable to repair it we will replace it.
